Fun Black Fashion Fact: Veronica Webb

Veronica Webb was the first black model to land a major cosmetics contract.
A Detroit native, Veronica was spotted on the streets of New York City by a makeup artist. Her modeling career took off from there, as she soon became a spokes model for Revlon, walked for Chanel, Alaia, and Todd Oldham, and appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Essence.
