Thoughts? Nicole Richie's Harlow 1960

Nicole Richie has joined the ranks of celeb designers, debuting her line Harlow 1960 on ShopKitson.com.
A few items:

I'll be honest: the inner skeptic comes out whenever I hear another celebrity is launching a fashion or accessories line. But the fashionista in me says, "I like it!" Every item is flashy enough for a night out, yet simple enough to keep in rotation for casual days. And with prices ranging from $55 to $200, Harlow 1960 is pretty affordable.

Style Verdict: Leggings as Pants?

Ok, I'll admit, I own a pair of liquid leggings and I love them! They're supremely comfortable and add a soupcon of edge to long sweaters or tunics. Hollywood hottie Meagan Good also loves her leggings, and seems to wear them to most events:
...but instead of wearing them under a long shirt or skirt, Ms. Good hoists her leggings up, adds a belt, and wears them as pants. I personally think the look is too saucy for the daytime and is even a bit much if dressed up.
But what do you think? Would you wear leggings as pants?

Would you Rock? Funky Sunglasses

Rihanna was spied with Chris Brown in LaGuardia airport after this weekend's Z100 Jingle Ball wearing a pair of one-of-a-kind retro specs:
In attempts to further distinguish themselves from the masses, it seems stars are popping on increasingly more out-the-box sunglasses, even if the pair fails to block the sun and encumbers their vision:

Since we typically take fashion cues from our fave celebs, I must ask: would you rock super funky sunglasses?

Herve Leger Overload?

Way back in July 2007, curious Fashion Bomber Lindsay wrote in about a mysterious sexy dress she noticed popping up on every red carpet imaginable.
She said, "Who makes those dresses that many celebrities such as Rihanna, Solange, Ciara, and Kim Kardashian have been wearing?"

"...I saw a picture of Solange wearing a fuschia one, Rihanna wore a pink one, and Kim has one in like every color of the rainbow!"
We did a little research, and found the dresses in question were Herve Leger. It was an exciting time: we loved the frock's silhouette and sultry cut. Fashion Bomb stars also couldn't get enough:

Now that seemingly everyone on the celeb circuit has a Herve Leger in their closet, does it have the same appeal?
I personally start to roll my eyes when I see one. "You're having a party. Banded skin tight dress? How creative..."

Fashion Query: Stockings for Brown Skinned Bombshells

Last night curvaceous Toccara made her way to the premiere of Cadillac Records in NYC:
All looks fine until you reach Toccara's legs, where it seems she quickly popped on a pair of sheer stockings in a color far from 'mocha brown.'
Can't blame her: it's hard to find hosiery that actually complements our skin color. I remember back in the day finding a few pairs of Mahogany sheer hose at Kroger, but now I just skip the drama and opt for a pair of black opaques.
Still, this begs the question: Have you guys found a great brand of brown skin colored pantyhose??

Style Verdict: Solange

Hey!
So today, I'm going to introduce a new feature: Style Verdict.
While most stars hit the chic quotient out of the park, others, you're not too sure. Instead of profiling them in a typical Style File, I'm leaving it up to you guys as to whether this celeb is Fashion Bomb material. You decide: Does this star have style? Or are they still a work in progress?
Today's subject is Beyonce's little sis...
...Solange.
Admittedly, it must be hard playing second fiddle to the force that is Beyonce, but perhaps Solange holds her own on the fashion front? Let's take a look:
Knowles # 2 seems to favor flattering hour glass silhouettes comprised of dresses with seriously accentuated waists:
...and tops with short frilly skirts...
...worn with cute stilettos.
For red carpet events, performances, or nights on the town, she flaunts her form in freekum dresses...
..with more casual outings warranting head to toe black...
...with the neon accessories thrown in to great effect:

Not bad!
While she gets it right on some occasions, at times Solange leaves us scratching our heads:
This bejeweled neck is cute, but white shoes, why?
This Champagne frock won't send her to the fashion police, but it's shapeless design might get her cited...
A flapper dress is always pretty, but this hemline might be too matronly for such a young buck...
...and we all remember these purple tights, which did nothing for her standard black and white ensemble.
So is Solange a certified style star? Or is she still creepin on a come up?
