Hot or Hmm..: Oxygen's Launch of ANTM: OBSESSED

If you're an America's Next Top Model addict, get ready for all ANTM, all the time! America's Next Top Model: OBSESSED is a compilation of ANTM marathons, past contestant updates, insider gossip pieces, and live-blogging from cast members (including Tyra herself)! OBSESSED debuts on Oxygen January 18, and last night the ANTM crème de la crème came out to celebrate!
Tyra Banks got her sexy siren on with this fluid, magenta-hued floor length gown that hugs her fabulous curves. I'm feeling the the lavender eye shadow and matching lipstick, too. Looking Hot, Tyra!
ANTM Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez sparkles in this playful, strapless, feathered frock with silver peep-toe heels. Her gorgeous, natural-like makeup balances the dramatic dress beautifully--Hawt!
Cycle 6 winner Dani Evans sports a rock-chic look with black leather accents and a jersey-like mini-dress. It's a Hot look on its own but next to Tyra and Jaslene's more formal outfits seems a little underdressed, Hmm...And ya know Miss Jay was in the building, Minnie Mouse ears and all!
Your thoughts?

Mail Bombs: Tyra's Top, Chic Raincoats, Raven's Boots, Baby Shower Style

Cheries,
I'm piloting just for today as Mademoiselle Sulmers makes her debut in Paris. She sends virtual "Smootches!" along with a few Mail Bombs, below. Let's get to it!

Fashion Bomber Tonia asks, "I must cop this top Tyra is wearing. Can you tell me who makes it?"

Claire investigated and found that Tyra is actually wearing this modified Mara Hoffman dress from the designer's Fall 2008 line:

Next, reader India writes, "How can I find a dress like Kelis's???"

Claire recommends any one of these options:

1. Chaiken Mini Dress, $130 2. Tibi Shift Dress, $200 3. Taylor Eyelet Shift, $55
From Tolu we have: "I'm a college student looking for a rain coat (preferably hooded) that's cute and inexpensive. Any suggestions?"
Fall's a good time to get your rain gear on point. Here are a few ideas that hopefully fit your budget:

1. Andrew Marc Silver Hooded Rain Jacket, $135, 2. Aqua Cropped Waterproof Jacket (with hood), $42 3. Hilary Radley Belted Rain Coat, $90,
FB'er Tyi e-mails, "I would kill for the boots Raven is rocking! It's harder to find knee and thigh boots for thick chicks. Can you please help me out?!"

One of the go-to places online to find stylish specialty shoes is Zappos. Not only can you search by size, style, width, and color (all at once), but their inventory is endless and shipping is free (even if you decide to return your shoes). Check out these fabulous boot selections that accommodate fuller legs:

1. Bouquets Wide Calf Boots, $94 2. Stuart Weitzman Best Boots, $263 3. RSVP Elana Boot, $154
FB Mom-to-be Cleona writes, "My baby shower is in November and I have nothing to wear. I want a look that's cute and sexy that will still compliment my growing belly and figure. Any ideas?"
Congrats! As for baby shower outfits, I really like these pieces from Liz Lange Maternity for Target and Gap Maternity:

1. Gap Tie-Front Dress, $58 2. Liz Lange for Target Ribbed Empire Dress, $30 3. Liz Lange for Target 3/4 Sleeve Wrap Dress, $30 4. Gap Ruffle-Neck Dress, $78
Finally, Nicole asks, "I want to inquire about the sunglasses that Will Smith wore to the Secret Life of Bees premiere. I've looked everywhere and can't find out who makes them."

We couldn't find the designer, either, but here are some shades similar to the ones Will sported:

1. Yves Saint Laurent 2218S Sunglasses, $205 2.D&G 6016 Sunglasses, $139
That's a wrap for Mail Bombs!
bon weekend,
Adriana

Style File: Tyra Banks

Since ANTM's new season premiere's tonight, I thought it only fitting to profile former model, Victoria's Secret showstopper, talk show host, and creator of my weekly addiction...
Ms Tyra Banks!
As a former model and fashion aficionado, she looks smashing on most occasions. Let's take a look:
For casual outings, Tyra wears anything from a cool cap with skinny jeans and boots...
...to thigh skimming dresses in neutral colors like khaki...

or black.

When she goes glam, she amps it all the way up in frocks of varying lengths that accentuate her bustline...
And wears dark, slimming colors to conceal her post model pounds...
Fierce.
Channel your inner 'top model' with the following Tyra like items:
Top Row: Diane Von Furstenberg Eyelet Wrap Dress, $233, www.bergdorfgoodman.com, Curvy Jersey Wrap Dress, $69, www.victoriassecret.com.
Bottom Row: Guess Darali Peep Toes, $114, Zappos.com
Taryn Alpaca Knit Hat in Ivory, $60, CoutureCandy
And, just for fun, a few things I'm looking forward to this season:
1. Tyra's Tantrums...

2. Ms Jay...

3. And characters like Jade...

Can't Wait!
Smootches!
PS Thought this was funny...

Intern Chic Sheet : Slick Boardroom Style

Hey Guys,
So third and final TFB intern, Suzie, provided us with the last intern post for the week. Enjoy!

Suzie here! I am a born and bred Brooklynite, always on the lookout for the latest, wildest trends. I work in corporate America, so this post is for all my business chicks trying to add eclectic, wild and fun to conservative and stiff. I am into some really funky designers and lines like Free People, and A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz, Alexander McQueen, Alberta Ferrati, and Luisa Beccaria (such fun colors). I have had a secret passion for fashion since I saw Diana Ross in Mahogany, and now I hope to bring it to the limelight, baby!!
While there is nothing wrong with a black suit...

...sometimes a punch of color is very necessary.
Tracee Ellis Ross sports a work appropriate look...

...and rocks colors that complement one another without being overpowering.
Need more workplace ideas? Take a look at these powerful divas:

These ladies rock a conservative look that still manages to look fierce.
Another thing to think about: day to night wear. A club appropriate strapless dress like the one Bre's wearing here....

... can easily become business attire with a blazer, preferably in the same color and a pair of hot stilettos.
And the clutch? Use a cosmetics bag. But not just any old thing! After work I simply take my Louis Vuitton Cosmetic bag, wipe it down, stuff some essentials in, and am ready to go, go, go, go....

Rev up your workplace wardrobe with the following pieces...

Slim skirt with Satin kick pleat back, $82.99, www.catchafireclothing.com.

Beachside Camisole, $10.80, www.forever21.com.

3" Filigree earrings, $12.99, www.girlprops.com.
And remember to always dress to impress! You never know who you'll meet!
~Suzie

Thanks Suzie!
Alright, so what do you think. Did the interns turn it out? I think they did...
Smootches!
PS Need more workplace wardrobe ideas? I did a post about it here.
PSS Stay tuned for Friday Mail Bombs!

Style File: Eva Pigford

"I'm not your girl next door but I'm your girl down the block in your hood."--Jaslene, America's Next Top Model Season 8 winner.
So ANTM recently crowned a new queen (Jaslene)...and in the spirit of celebrating the ANTM franchise, I decided to do a short style file on the most successful, beautiful, and stylish winner of the show (in my opinion)..

Eva Pigford.
Petite and sassy, Eva truly has a style all her own . She plays up her diminutive traits by paying attention to tiny details.
She caters to her small figure by wearing short, cute dresses that elongate her legs...

And adds bulk and romance by sporting dresses and shirts with ruffle accents.

While her clothing game is fierce, Eva truly stays fly by way of an impeccably stylish haircut...

And big, bold, look-at-me accessories:

Fierce.
Get started on your own Eva the Diva-like wardrobe with the help of the following:

Top Row: Rosanna Dress, $27.80, www.forever21.com; Kenneth Jay Lane Black Diamond Cocktail Ring, $75, shopbop.com
Bottom Row: Doorknocker Earrings, $18, www.urbn.com; Marc Jacobs Red Plastic Oversized Shades, $144, www.bluefly.com.
Tyra...

...and Ms. Jay...

...would be proud!
Smootches!
PS Reader Neah was feeling the yellow post from yesterday!
She says, “I just wanted to let you know I'm with you with the love for yellow. I went out to celebrate my birthday on Saturday and just HAD to wear yellow.”
“I got the dress from Bebe. I paired it with navy and white Oscar de la Renta pumps, navy and white earrings, and a necklace I wrapped around my wrist (a girl's got to be creative).”
Loves it!
