Points of Interest: Elle Magazine's December Issue

Hey!
So months after moving in, I'm finally getting my magazines in on time! I was giddy (as per usual) to receive my December issue of Elle the other day...
..and was delighted to flip and find a small spread on Bonnie Morrison...
...New York socialite, fashion maven, and publicity director of PR firm KCD. If you don't know, KCD is a huge firm in New York city and represents high end fashion houses such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, and Marc Jacobs.
The Elle spread showcases what Ms. Morrison would wear in a typical week--everything from tailored shift dresses by Richard Chai to smart wool Givenchy jackets paired with Earnest Sewn jeans or Yves Saint Laurent skirts, topped off with (of course) a pair of Louboutins.

About her style philosophy, she says, "I feel strongly about being dressed at all times...You never know where the day will take you..."
I couldn't agree more!
Kudos to Bonnie for climbing to the top of the heap in her field, and double snaps to Elle for profiling a woman of color doing her thing! And of course, for being aware of including....

...a dash of diversity.
Smootches!

Oh yeah, I have that mag at home. I’ll have to crack it open once. She does look very stylish. I have to get my subscriptions in order too. I go magazine shopping every week at the newsstand and it is becoming costly. Having them sent at home isn’t an option because we have small mailboxes and I live in a building full of one bedrooms housing women my age, so I know I’ll never see a page. I guess it’s time for another PO box.

Hey Claire! I was pleasantly surprised to see Bonnie too! Also, did you notice the spread with Naomi and the white outfits? I think there was also a spread with Chanel Iman and the little kids (channelling various designers). I was so pleased with this month's Elle! And to think that these mags are prepared 3 months in advance...do you think think they anticipated all the recent talk about lack of diversity in fashion, or are they just truly ahead of the pack when it comes to this. Ttys!
