Today’s Black History Tribute goes to wedding dress designer Therez Fleetwood.
Designing since 1996, Fleetwood uses Nigerian Ashoke cloth, Guinea brocade from West Africa, and other high quality fabrics to create her bridal gowns.
On her website, www.therezfleetwood.com, she says, “Our society is a melting pot of various cultures, but for a long time, brides wore traditional wedding dresses that did not represent their diversity. My gowns bring together different cultures in a way that is very fashion-forward".
I’m going home to the A for a vacay, and will be attending this fashion show…
...featuring Therez Fleetwood’s newest designs. Stay tuned for updates!
Have great weekends!
