Alice +Olivia for Payless

Nitrolicious offers pictures of Alice + Olivia's Fall '08 collection for Payless...
I'll admit: For $48, a peep toe, a pop of patent leather, and 4.5" heel, they're super duper cute, but I'm not sure I can get down for Payless. I have a friend who swears her most comfortable shoes are from there, but with all my foot problems, I'm pretty wary. Can anyone testify?

I cannot lie, my most comfortable shoes are from Payless too!! I got put on this summer when i bought my first shoes from there and I was totally surprised that they were more comfortable than my 90.00 designer shoes. Damn shame how we all buy into brands, and not that I am going to stop, but i will no longer play Payless.

Payless and comfort do not mix! Those words dont even deserve to be in the same sentence. I once bought a pair of Payless shoes and I didn't even last an hour in them. Those shoes are cute tho'.

I am a avid payless fan for two reasons 1: I wear a size 12 and it's hard for me to find shoes in extended sizes where I live. 2: You can try trends for cheap. It's so crazy I just talked about Payless' fall collection on my blog last month.

True some of the shoes are not comfortable but, for the little price tag, I feel better kicking that pair to the curb than a $100+ pair.

My mom used to always tell me to never buy shoes from Payless because they're cheap. I have narrow, flat feet and that translates into two words: expensive shoes. One day I bought a pair of shoes from there that I just had to have and not only did the shoe fall apart, I nearly broke my ankle when it happened. Now I know you of all people know that shoes and cheap don't mix. Your whole outfit might be from Goodwill, but your shoes must be fabulous!

Honestly...IT DEPENDS!!! It really goes on a case by case (or shoe by shoe) basis. Payless carries many different names so it varies. I buy payless as well as other priceier shoes all of the time! Dont get me wrong, one day in the wrong shoes may have you right back in that foot surgeons office but it really just comes down to treating it as if it were any other shoe in a shoe store...Try It On and Walk Around in it!! You may be quite suprised. I have had great experiences as well as bad ones but I definitely keep payless in my regular rotation. I reccomend the Madison Button Ankle Boot in gray...they are fab. Good Luck!!!

they are not comfortable or of acceptable quality. I purchased a cute pair of sandals, but my foot actually hung off the side of the shoe at a 45 degree angle. I finally had to throw the shoes away. Those boots are very tempting! Payless work on the construction/quality of your shoes and I will be there with bells.

I actually have 2 pairs of Alice and Olivia for Payless shoes. One flats and one heels, and I LOVE them both. They are comfy and have lasted!

I have to testify! I bought a pair of patent pumps from payless 2 years ago and those are my most comfy heels yet. Im assuming it depends what brand you get but i wouldnt rule them out.

I'm an island gal from Trinidad that resides in the DC area. I once bought a pair of sandles from Payless for an all white event. I jumped up all night and the next day in them and I have to say they were the most comfortable and durable pair of shoes I have ever purchased!
